Terracina Historic Center
Map and Tourist Sites

.The green area in the map represents the historic center of Terracina which was originally the Roman Forum. The ancient Roman Appian Way, which went through Terracina, was the first and most famous of Rome's long-distance military-commercial highways. Villages and towns along the Appian way benefitted from the traffic of goods moving overland from the southern ports into Rome. The old Appian Way, now called Via Appio Nuova, is still Terracina's main street.
